WHAT IS THE eRegister?
The MFA eRegister system is a voluntary and free service provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) to all Singapore citizens who travel or reside overseas. Regardless of whether you are travelling abroad for study, work or leisure, the eRegister system allows you to record information about your travel itinerary abroad. The information you provide will allow MFA and our Embassies or Consulates to contact and render assistance to you during an emergency or crisis (eg natural disasters, civil unrest, etc).
Singaporeans are strongly encouraged to eRegister with MFA whenever they travel abroad. eRegistering will enable the Ministry and our relevant Missions to contact the eRegistrants and render the necessary assistance in case of emergencies. To further encourage Singaporeans to use the new eRegister, eRegistrants will be able to enjoy various promotions at participating outlets at Changi Airport. All they need to do is present their boarding pass and their eRegister acknowledgement email or SMS to enjoy the privileges. These promotions will start from 7 August 2009 Terms and conditions apply.
For the eRegister system to be effective, we encourage you to eRegister at least three days before your intended date of your confirmed travel.

Why is it necessary to have the restriction on liquids, aerosols and gels (LAGs) on flights?
